From Feb 2017, the IRD will be issuing GST refunds directly to the NZ bank account. They like to make GST refunds in bank account compulsory, previously there were many instances where cheques were either lost or taken too long have cash available for business use.

The new move is welcomed by New Zealand businesses, as it would be easier to receive the Good and Services Tax Refunds.
